Theatrical costume for a female pirate
Drawing, design for a women's pirate costume, part of a group of costume designs by Vincente Minnelli. The costume consists of a red and white ensemble of jacket and pants. The waist is wrapped in a wide belt, decorated with an oversized buckle across the jacket; the sleeves are wide, with several layers of ruffles, and silver trimmings. High-heeled, pointed-toe, red and white boots, and a matching plummed hat, wide-brimmed and worn over a scarf wrapping the head, complete the outfit.
