Met Live Arts commissions and presents powerful works of music, dance, and more that connect people, cultures, and ideas. Building on a rich, century-long legacy of performance at The Met, these transformative works uplift contemporary voices and open new dialogues with the Museum’s collection, exhibitions, and spaces.
This season, experience a one-of-a-kind evening with iconic Swedish singer Lykke Li, hear St. Vincent, Jason Isbell, and Kingfish play instruments from The Met collection in the Guitar Icons series, which marks the new gallery dedicated to celebrating the American guitar at The Met, and watch the human body become an instrument in itself with acclaimed tap dancer Ayodele Casel. Plus, make new holiday traditions with a series of December performances.
