Quantcast
The Cloisters: Part Three

Timothy Husband, curator in the Department of Medieval Art and The Cloisters, discusses the Belles Heures of Jean of France, Duc of Berry. As only one of the only almost complete prayer books that survives from the Duc of Berry's library, it is a rare example of a beautifully preserved illuminated text. This is the third lecture in a four-part series that provides a behind-the-scenes look at The Cloisters.

Recorded April 2, 2008

May 2013 through May 2014 marks the seventy-fifth anniversary of The Cloisters.
