The Great Hall

With three immense domes, eight dramatic arches, and a marble mosaic floor, the Great Hall has been the majestic main entry of The Metropolitan Museum of Art for more than a century.

  • Reception: 750 guests
  • Reception including Great Hall Balcony: 1,000 guests

The Temple of Dendur in The Sackler Wing

The Temple of Dendur

The Temple of Dendur in The Sackler Wing is an Egyptian monument built by Emperor Augustus around 15 B.C. and reconstructed in a modern simulation of its original site. Presented to the United States as a gift from the Egyptian government, it is now an iconic Met space and a highlight of the Museum's collection.

Carroll and Milton Petrie European Sculpture Court

The Carroll and Milton Petrie European Sculpture Court was designed as a classical French garden, presenting large outdoor Italian and French sculptures dating from the seventeenth to the nineteenth century.
