Edward Wakelin British
After a pattern by William Kent

Not on view

These candlesticks reflect the enthusiasm of the 6th Earl of Coventry for the neoclassical style. His silversmith, Edward Wakelin, adapted a design from a pattern by William Kent, one of the first architects to supply designs for furniture and interior fittings as well as for buildings.
