    Signature: Recto, lower center, in pen and black ink: GK [with a device] 1586 10 octob.

    Inscription: Verso, bottom left corner, in graphite: 2001.501

    Marking: Mount, bottom right: Kneller / no. 1569 (collector's mark of J. Dupan; Lugt 1440). The paper bears part of a watermark representing two towers (cf. Briquet 15919-50, Ravensburg, second part of the 16th century).
