  • Signatures, Inscriptions, and Markings

    Marking: The watermark is similar to those found in paper used in Augsburg, Esslingen, Ingolstadt, Nuremberg, and Wemding between 1455 and 1459 (Piccard-Online mos. 100476, 100480, 100484, 100553, 100652, 100656). Watermark: part of tower (similar to Briquet 15.872, 15.873, 15.876 [ Klingenberg 1464] and Piccard, vol. 3, II, no. 364 [Esslingen, Ingelstadt, Kaisheim monastery, 1462-65]); chain lines 34 mm apart.
