From the King Expedition, 1867-72; City of Rocks, now a national reserve, was located in the Utah Territory at the time this photograph was taken, in 1867. In 1872, however, the Idaho-Utah boundary survey placed the City of Rocks in Idaho Territory. [Emily Shutt]
