Per Roger Taylor 9/25/10: J. W. Bailey exhibited enamels between 1859 and 1889 at the Royal Academy and Suffolk Street Galleries but was not a member of the Royal Academy. Center figure is Albert Edward, Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII); center left figure is William Ewart Gladstone; top right figure is Napoleon III.Per National Portrait Gallery 4/12/11: Bottom left corner is opera diva Adelina Patti; bottom right corner is actress Clara Rousby (identical to a photograph published by London Stereoscopic and Photographic Company in the V&A collection).
