PROGRAMS FOR VISITORS WITH DISABILITIES

For Visitors with Mobility Impairments

All of the Museum's public galleries are accessible to wheelchair users and other visitors who need to avoid stairs. Accessible entrances are located at 81st Street and Fifth Avenue and through the parking garage at 80th Street and Fifth Avenue. Wheelchairs are available at the coat-check areas on a first-come, first-served basis. Advance reservations are not available.

Appointments may be made in advance for a volunteer guide to escort wheelchair users in the Museum. Please call 212-570-3954 for more information, or to make an appointment (two weeks' notice is preferred) for a volunteer guide.

Elevators and escalators are located throughout the building. For a copy of the Access Information and Map brochure, call 212-650-2010 (TTY: 212-570-3828) or email access@metmuseum.org. The Museum's Access Map is also available at the Information Desks.
