Highlights of Asia

The collection of Asian art at the Metropolitan is the largest and most comprehensive in the West. This tour presents ancient and modern selections of the Chinese, Japanese, Korean and, South and Southeast Asian galleries, featuring religious and secular highlights of paintings, prints, sculpture, ceramics, bronzes, jades, lacquerware, textiles, and screens in the permanent collection and special exhibitions. Also featured is the Astor Court, a courtyard modeled after a Ming-dynasty scholar's Chinese garden.
