A Taste of the Middle Ages: a celebration for the whole family at The Met Cloisters, with gallery workshops, projects, and a self-guided art hunt.

Schedule of Events

12 pm–4 pm (Ongoing Program)

Cuxa Cloister

Self-guided art hunt. Look for details of artworks throughout the galleries of The Met Cloisters. For children ages 4–12.

12 pm–4 pm (Ongoing Program)

Pontaut Chapter House

Drop-in craft project. Make and decorate a medieval spice box or drinking goblet to take home. For children ages 4–12.

12–1 pm, 1–2 pm (bilingual Spanish and English program) and 3–4 pm

Meet in the Main Hall

In this family gallery workshop, savor a taste of the Middle Ages as you learn about the herbs, spices, fruits, vegetables and other foods used in medieval cooking. Explore ingredients from near and far as well as the feasts enjoyed at different seasons and for special occasions. For children ages 4–12.
