Art programs for children of Members at the Family/Dual ($210) level and above offer students the unique experience of learning about art, either in a studio setting or in the Museum's galleries.
Get creative while discovering art in the Museum's studios and galleries! Children will explore the Museum's world-renowned collection to learn about visual art concepts such as line, shape, color, value, pattern, texture, balance, form, scale, and composition. They develop their own art portfolio through studio activities including painting, collage, sculpting, building, bookmaking, printmaking, and drawing.
New classes include: Stories; Journeys; People (Ages 6–8); and Digital Art; Art and Writing (Ages 9–12).
Art Afternoons classes, led by a roster of artists and educators, are for children ages 6–12 years only. This is a drop-off program. Classes are limited to 17 children; space is limited and pre-registration is required.
