Jeffrey Milarsky, one of the leading conductors of contemporary music today, conducts a Japan-focused program with works by Takemitsu, Messiaen, and Dai Fujikura, as well as the U.S. premiere of Misato Mochizuki's Si blue, si calme.
The New York Philharmonic and the Metropolitan Museum join forces once again for a new season of CONTACT!, the Philharmonic’s acclaimed new-music series conceived by Music Director Alan Gilbert. The series features world premieres, U.S. premieres, and New York Philharmonic–commissioned works.
