Gallery Concert: Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer

In conjunction with the exhibition Early American Guitars: The Instruments of C. F. Martin, the Department of Musical Instruments welcomes two-time Grammy Award winners Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer to The Charles Engelhard Court for a concert of folk and bluegrass music. Hailed by the Boston Globe as "spellbinding acoustic musicians, with a rare mastery of American roots styles," the duo were honored by C. F. Martin & Co. with their own signature Martin guitars in 2004. Fink and Marxer's superb harmonies are backed by instrumental virtuosity on many instruments—including guitar, ukulele, banjo, and mandolin.

This exhibition is made possible by The Martin Guitar Company.
