“an immensely thoughtful and progressive force on the musical scene.” —
The New York Times

In this dazzling concert on period instruments, the acclaimed Ensemble Caprice spotlights the rich and fascinating culture of the court of Rudolf II in Prague— the most interesting European city of its time—where scientists, artists, musicians, and alchemists mixed and mingled to outrageous and resplendent results.

This program is in conjunction with the exhibition 'Bartholomeus Spranger: Splendor and Eroticism in Imperial Prague', on view November 4, 2014—February 1, 2015.

Tickets to this event include Museum admission.
