The Family Benefit

Family Benefit 2014

The Family Benefit, now in its twenty-third year, is an evening of fun, dancing, and entertainment for the entire family. At this year's Benefit, Metropolitan Mysteries, guests will examine the mysteries behind the extraordinary art and artifacts within the galleries of one of the world's most celebrated Museums—The Metropolitan Museum of Art.  Take a look at what is inside the animal mummies of ancient Egypt, write and decode secret messages inspired by works of American art, learn about the special technique for making samurai swords extra strong, and much, much more!  The evening will include gallery visits, art projects, and dinner and dancing in The Temple of Dendur in The Sackler Wing.
