This two-day workshop (July 12 and 19) uses the exhibition
as a catalyst for exploring techniques for photographing scenes and portraits "on the street." During the first day, participants learn about the history of street photography as well as technical guidelines and tips. After discussing different approaches to photographing people, we'll venture outside the Museum and start practicing through hands-on guided assignments. The second session focuses on reviewing and critiquing everyone's photographs, exploring examples of different personal styles, and visiting the exhibition to look closely at Winogrand's work.
