Watch weavers create in the galleries, dip into plant-based dyes, and try your hand at simple stitching. Contemporary artists and founders of the Textile Arts Center walk you through techniques that have spanned millennia and that artists around the world still use today. Bring friends and family to unravel the mysteries of fabric production and enjoy gallery talks, demonstrations in the exhibition Interwoven Globe: The Worldwide Textile Trade, 1500–1800, and hands-on art activities throughout the Museum.
