September Family Orientations

Designed for young visitors and their adult companions, Family Orientations are one-hour slide introductions to select special exhibitions. This month's highlights include orientations to three special exhibitions: "Giorgio Morandi, 1890–1964"; "Rhythms of Modern Life: British Prints 1914–1939"; and "The Essential Art of African Textiles: Design Without End". See Family Programs for more information about the wide range of family-friendly Museum activities offered at the Met.

Met Podcast Episodes for Families

Met Podcast offers visitors one more way to enjoy audio programming related to works of art at the Museum and includes a special series of episodes created especially for children ages seven through twelve. These "Story Time at the Met" programs present legends, myths, and other stories related to works of art in the Museum's collection. Enjoy the fundamental wisdom of Aesop's Fables, discover the peaceful tranquility of Peach Blossom Spring in a story originally told seventeen hundred years ago, or be delighted by Ananse the Spider, an African folk tale inspired by a linguist staff (oykeame) in the Museum's collection. See Met Podcast for a complete list of episodes that you may download or listen to right now.
