Tours are interactive and designed to introduce campers to the fun of exploring works of art from around the world. Guided tours are for campers ages 5 through 16.
Group Size
A group may have no fewer than 10 people and no more than 25 people (including counselors). Please note that 1 chaperone is required for every 10 campers. Special Education groups require 1 chaperone for every 9 campers.
Group Fee
Guided tours are $50.00 per group for New York City and non–New York City camp groups.
Tour Schedule
Guided tours are offered Tuesday through Friday at 10:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 1:30 p.m. All tours last approximately one hour.

Campers ages 5 through 16 may explore the Museum's encyclopedic collection independently with their counselors.
Please note that self-guided visits also require appointments.

To Request a Camp Group Visit
Guided tours for camp groups for summer 2009 are fully booked. To schedule a self-guided camp group visit through August 2009,
please call 212-570-3711 or email schoolvisits@metmuseum.org. The Museum welcomes campers of all abilities.
When requesting your visit, please let us know of any accommodations that the Museum can provide in order to make your visit successful.

Cancellation Policy
If you must cancel a camp group tour, please email schoolvisits@metmuseum.org or call 212-570-3711.
In the email, please include your name, telephone number, the six-digit confirmation number, name of camp organization,
and date and time of your visit. Fees cannot be refunded to groups that cancel with less than two weeks' notice.
Please submit another form if you are interested in rescheduling your visit.
Lunch Facilities
There are no lunch facilities inside the Museum. Camp groups are welcome to picnic on the steps of the Museum or in Central Park.
