Napoleon is being exiled from France. His right wrist is tied to the left wrist of Joseph Bonaparte, and they are led forward by Blücher, who holds a rope attached to the noose tied around Napoleon's neck. Napoleon has donkey ears and wears a fool's cap inscribed "Transported for Life." Joseph's hat is inscribed "Coward and Thief." The sovereigns of Europe gleefully dance in a ring, holding hands, in the background at left.
