Engraving, part of 'Habitus variarum orbis gentium' (Costumes of the various peoples of the world), representing the costumes of men and women from various parts of the world, engraved after designs by Boissard and published by Rutz in 1581.

This engraving represents a Moor, a Moorish girl, and an Ethiopian man. On the left, the Moor wears an ankle-length robe with long, wide sleeves, a thin belt tied around the waist, with striped borders and fringed edges. His hair is tied in a turban, his face bearded, and he wears a hoop earring. A belt with ovals and dots hangs diagonally across his chest, holding a bow and quiver, and a sword hanging on his right hip. He holds two arrows on his left hand. His feet are shod with low-heeled, pointed-toe boots.

On the center, the Moorish girl wears a draped robe over a long, pleated underskirt with thin, horizontal stripes. Her hair is tied back and wrapped in a headscarf with round coins. Her earrings are large and with three strips of pearls hanging from them. Her shoes have rounded toes.

On the right, the Ethiopian man wears an asymmetrical jacket, the back longer than the front, with three-quarter sleeves and horizontal fastenings with small, round buttons. A fabric belt with stripes and fringed edges is tied around the waist, and a sort of apron, also with stripes and fringed edges, hangs under the jacket at the front. Under them, he wears long, wide trousers and flat, rounded-toe shoes. His hair is tied in a round turban. A knife is held by his belt at the left side of his waist, and a sword hangs on his right hip. A bow stands at his right, on which he rests his right hand.
