Four designs for bracelets with stylized leaves and pearls

Drawing with four designs for bracelets, part of an album of drawings in pen and ink of designs for jewelry in the style of the French School of the 19th century, designed for the French jewelry house Mellerio-Borgnis. The first design consists of a gold bangle with a knot formed around a small, undulating garland of stylized leaves, square-cut (semi-)precious stones, and pearls. The second design consists of interlacing strips of gold that form a knot, decorated with scrolling, stylized leaves, flowers and scattered pearls, flanked to the sides by a strip of metal with cropped circles, framed by two thin strips of gold, which forms the body of the bracelet. The third design is made up of two strips of gold, held together by scrolling stylized leaves, and a bundle of green, elongated, scrolling leaves, stylized flowers, and flower buds made of pearls; the green color of the leaves might have been achieved using enamel or small emeralds in the manufactured jewel. The final design is made up of three strips of gold, held together by two vertical strips of gold and scrolling gold ribbon motifs, and has a small bundle of stylized leaves and flower buds made of pearls in the center, inside an oval frame.
