Illustration of a printed linen dress, by George Barbier, part of the 46th issue of the "Journal des dames et des modes", published in Paris on September 1, 1913. The illustration features a woman, dressed in a draped, white linen dress with small, red polka dots, ruffles on the neck and the cuffs, and an empire waist emphasized by a red belt with a hanging tassel tha flows on the back of the woman's body. She wears a red hat with a purple rosette and red high heels with straps. She stands, playing with a yellow Chinese yo-yo, on a pasture by a river, under the shade of a tree with small, purple blossoms.
