The maker of this hammered-gold pendant cut out a delicate egg shape from the center and angled the rim to resemble the beveled edge of a bivalve shell. The pendant is perforated so that it could be worn.



El centro de este pendiente de oro martillado tiene un corte en forma de huevo y los ángulos de sus bordes fueron calculados de manera a poder imitar una concha bivalva. El pendiente fue perforado con el fin de que la persona que lo llevara puesto pudiese hacerlo de forma horizontal.
