Plate 38, Remains of the Baths of Titus, with groups of figures scattered amongst the ruins, including a group of three gathered around an architectural fragment in the foreground at center. Below this plate is an unnumbered image titled "Plan des Thermes de Tite." This is one of only a few examples in the volume where the two half-page images on a single sheet both relate to the same Roman building (the majority of unnumbered bottom images depict ancient sculpture and bas-reliefs). These two images appear facing page 68, a page of text describing this thermae.
