Electric Viola

Victor A. Pfeil American, born Germany

Not on view

Electric viola made of black-painted wood with conventional neck fitted to the body; the viola has a fingerboard, but is lacking the nut and other fittings. This is an acoustically mute, skeletal instrument devised to transmit the strings' vibrations to an electrical transducer. (J. Kenneth Moore, 2003)
