Study of Palm Trees

Jean-Léon Gérôme French

Not on view

This study is thought to have been painted in 1868, during Gérôme's third visit to Egypt. The same cluster of palm trees reappears with slight variations in Caravan, an undated work executed late in the artist's career (whereabouts unknown).
