Panel with a figure on horseback facing left at right, and two figures, one holding a spear and seen from behind and on holding a document, at left. Behind these figures, more soldiers on horseback. In the background, a city burning and a river. From a series of six plates with decors with fireworks, created in conjunction with the fireworks display on the Hofvijver in The Hague. The series includes eight panels depicting the military success over the French and Spanish armies in 1702. First published in that year, the series was also included in both editions of the collected works of Marot, published in 1703 and 1712.
