Design for the Prison of Amadis, with a brick, vaulted interior flanked by prison cells. Five figures appear at left and three at right. From a series of six prints with designs for stage sets all seen through a proscenium. The series was first published in 1702 by the artist himself and included in both oeuvre publications.
