Design for a rectangular, Islamic pattern. The outline of the pattern describes a rectangle with triangular notches in all four sides. The base pattern (already presented in 49.64.5(47)) is built up out of one continuous line which overlaps and intersects. The overlapping lines form six eight-pointed stars organized in two columns. The compartments in between are cross-shaped. The pattern is elaborated through the addition of four vertical and four horizontal straps, paired in groups of two, which zigzag and overlap.
