Series of 30 engraved plates (and title page), depicting scenes from the life and martyrdom of Saint Philip of Jesus, patron saint of the city of Mexico and protomartyr of Japan (1597). Binding full spanish calf. This copy has the plates only. Another copy (46.46.548) has 29 plates (and title page), while a third copy (46.46.535) has the engraved title page followed by a letterpress title one egraved plate, letterpress text (Dedication, Licence, account the Saints' life etc).
