Scarab Bracelet of Wah

Middle Kingdom

Not on view

This silver scarab was manufactured in the same fashion as Wah's inscribed silver scarab (40.3.12). On its base are interlocking spirals and three hieroglyphs. Before burial, the heads of both scarabs were intentionally damaged by forceful scratching, possibly an instance of magical "killing."
