Technical description: Consisting of removable case a) and stand b); compass, nearly five octaves (G-e3); trapeze-shaped case resting on five cabriole legs decorated with gilt scrollwork, sides painted with twining leaves and flowers in shades of green, red, blue and yellow, back of case green; outside of cover ornamented with chinoiseries, repeated on inside; front-board with scrolling leaves forming panels of birds and flowers; keys, black naturals, ivory sharps; scattered flower sprays on soundboard in red, white, purple and green, enclosed by border of black climbing vines repeated on sides of curved bridge, black panel with white and purple flowers on sides.
