Pair of gold and blue glass bracelets with lions' head finials

Greek

On view at The Met Fifth Avenue in Gallery 158

The use of blue glass for the body is an unusual feature for this type of bracelet. Through time the glass has acquired a gray surface; but, when fresh, the effect of the blue against the gold must have been stunning.
