Terracotta youth

Greek, probably Boeotian

On view at The Met Fifth Avenue in Gallery 159

The statuette, which appears to have been made from the same mold as another in the collection, is of a youth seated on a rock and wearing a chlamys (mantle) and a hat. This example preserves some of the original surface and traces of polychromy.
