Brilliantly colored floral designs- inspired by Indian Gujarati prototypes- make for an interesting foil to the grounds' silk curlicues. Competent workmanship and the absence of precious metal-wrapped threads reveal these to be mid-range manufacture. With their embroidery only partially completed, the ink-drawn patterns still visible on the unfinished areas, these unassembled panels provide a fascinating record of working process.
