Related to the two marble angels flanking the tabernacle on the high altar of S. Agostino, Siena. Frà Carlo di Camillo Chigi contracted Francesco, Giovan Antonio and Agostino Mazzuoli to execute a marble ciborium with two angels for the high altar of S. Agostino. Although Giuseppe Mazzuoli is not specifically named in the document recording the commission, the strong influence of Bernini in the marble angels' compostion and style reflects Giuseppe's training in Rome. 1991.37a, b are ricordi, executed by Giuseppe's workshop either to present to the patron Frà Carlo or to retain for the workshop's own records.
