Drawing in the Galleries (Grades 3 through 5) Summer Semester (Open to Members and non-Members) Children's art programs for Members, beginning at the Family/Dual ($190) level, offer children the unique experience of learning about art and creating their own works in a studio setting or in the Museum's galleries.Non-Members have the special opportunity to participate in these classes during the summer semester. Students will explore a variety of drawing techniques and materials as they visit a new gallery in the Museum for each project and create their own art works based on what they see. Elements of drawing to be introduced include line, shape, value, color, pattern, scale, perspective and composition. Students will create landscapes, still lifes, portraits, figure drawings, and more. Each student's particular interests, abilities, and creativity are encouraged as they learn and draw from the Museum's collection. Session 1 Tuesdays and Thursdays, July 22–August 28 This session is sold out. Fee: $240 for the 12-session semester or $20 per class 10:30 a.m.12:00 p.m.
