An Architectural Capriccio

Luc Vincent Thiery de Sainte Colombe French

Not on view

Luc Vincent Thiery de Sainte Colombe was a lawyer and art collector in 18th-century Paris who also drew and made etchings. This capriccio, or imaginary combination of architectural motifs, is a study for an etching, also by Thiery de Sainte Colombe, which shows the same composition in reverse. For the etching, see 2017.707.2
