Three Equestrians
Qing dynasty (1644–1911)
Not on view
Three equestrians, two women and a man, dressed in colorful opera costumes are presumably engaged in a fight on galloping horses. This lively scene may refer to an episode in an opera. Variations of it appear on porcelain plates of the Kangxi period (1662–1722).
