Second plate of album with 60 19th-century costume plates and 1 drawing of mostly women's historical costumes, featuring a variety of designs for traditional costumes from different parts of the world, as well as costumes for literary characters, such as Esmeralda. This plate, titled "Indian Costumes", contains a design for a female costume, made up of a blue, short-sleeved jacket over a pink corset and a round skirt with green and red seamless patterns of lozenges work over blue pantaloons, tied around the ankles by golden bangles. Her dress is decorated with golden embroideries, pearls and stones, and she wears gold bracelets on each wrist and golden slippers. Her hair is tied back and decorated with white, jeweled accessories with pearls and gold; a necklace of pearls and rubies hangs around her neck. A jeweled belt of gold, pearls, emeralds and rubies separates her pink corset from the skirt, and she wears a second belt, made with fabric embroidered with semi-abstract motifs of the same colors, tied around her waist. She stands reclining on a column with Indian-inspired arches and motifs, looking at a man dressed with an Indian costume next to her. His costume consists of a golden-yellow jacket, tied around the waist with a jeweled belt, and with a longer under-skirt colored with light purple and with a white border with semi-abstract patterns executed with shades of brown, over orange pantaloons with semi-abstract floral motifs. He wears a red headdress, richly decorated with golden accessories, and several pearl necklaces around his waist. This belt holds a tool (a compass?) to his body. He holds a blue shield with four golden rosettes and a sword with a jeweled handle inside a red jacket with gold decorations on his hand. He also wears golden slippers on his feet. The couple is standing on a sand path surrounded by green plants; a river and an Indian-style building can be seen behind them.
