Although earlier visitors had surveyed Trimul Naik’s Choultry (a resting place for travelers), Tripe was the first to create a thorough photographic record of the building, with twenty large photographs and eighteen smaller ones. This picture of the southern aisle of the three-hundredfoot-long columned chamber emphasizes its massive scale.
