"L'Étrangeté" Vase (model "Contre Mur")

Designer Philippe Starck French
Manufacturer Daum French

Not on view

This vase, with its horn-shaped vessel for holding flowers, is at once modern and archaic—an instantly recognizable form used in an original and unexpected way. The vertical sheet of rectangular glass is intended to rest against a wall, hence the name of the model, "contre mur" meaning "against the wall."
