Album with 20 pochoir pattern plates with designs for textiles and carpets, titled "Suggestions pour étoffes et tapis: 60 motifs en couleur" (Suggestions for stuffs and carpets: 60 color motifs), created by E.A. Séguy and published in Paris by Massin & Cie in 1923. The collection contains a half title, a title page, and 20 illustrated plates with semi-abstract motifs, mostly inspired on flowers and nature, presenting designs that feature a combination of the Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles. Executed in bold colors, the illustrations reveal Séguy's unique interest in the scientific study of nature as a source of inspiration for artistic creation. The use of pochoir as a printing technique, popular in France at the turn of the 20th century, was ideal for capturing the vivid colors of nature.
