Not on view

An album containing fourteen prints in red-brown ink. The bound plates may have been published by Henri II Bonnart and are French copies of three distinct series. The first six plates are after Daniel Marot's series of clock designs published in 1706 and titled "Nouveaux Livre de Boïtes de Pendulles." The title plate of the copies bears the inscription "Nouveaux Livre de Boites de Pendulles de Coqs et Etuys de Montres et Autres Necessaire au Orlogeurs" and several of the details present in Marot's version are lost throughout the series. The following three plates show vases and candlesticks set in landscapes with ruins in the background. The inscriptions identify Henry II Bonnart as publisher and were produced after 1697. The final group of prints are copies after five of the six plates in Marot's series "Vasses de la Maison Royalle de L'oo," with depictions of garden vases at Het Loo Palace. The series of copies have Latin inscriptions and were published by Benthemensus in 1703 or after.
